Caring for Your Fused Glass
Blazing Star Arts creates food safe fused glass designed to use, display, and enjoy with minimal care. Here are a few tips to ensure your fused glass lasts a lifetime.
Indoor Use
Use fused glass plates and bowls to serve hot or cold items.
Never put fused glass in a microwave or oven.
Hand wash and dry with a soft, kitchen towel.
Use eco-friendly, chemical-free soaps to avoid spots.
Display fused glass in stands or on table tops, or hang it on walls. Choose sturdy display stands and hangers.
Box or carefully wrap holiday ornaments and store them in a safe place.
Caution: glass will break if it is dropped.
Outdoor Use
Use fused glass in gardens or on patios as artwork, to add color, or as accessories.
Bring hanging glass pieces indoors during excessively strong winds.
Do not leave fused glass outside during sustained, freezing temperatures. Our garden stakes look lovely in indoor plants!
Do not leave water inside fused glass pieces outside in freezing temperatures. When the water freezes, the expansion may break the glass.
Gently clean your outdoor glass by hand washing and drying with a soft, kitchen towel yearly.
