Beads, Glorious Beads
Did you know that we make every single bead we use on our glass pieces? It's loads of fun to create different color and blends, but tons of work to make them.
Each bead is made of two pieces of the same size glass, all cut individually by hand. These are stacked in the kiln and fired. Different temperatures are required for different colors of glass to ensure the best quality.
After firing, we pick up each individual bead by hand, wash and sort them.
Then the fun starts. We can design pieces specifically for beads or use them as embellishments. Some pieces with beads are full fused to look like dots and others are tack fused so their texture becomes part of the art.
